It was such a nice day, last tuesday. Thunderstorms were about to arrive. I knew it would be our last chance for pictures in the yard with sunshine for awhile. So, we ran and got the camera. This is absolutely my favotie time of year in our yard. The tulips are blooming, the little purple flowers on our ground cover are blooming and our crab apple tree is blooming too. It doesn't last very long. Even now, the tulips are hanging on but fading and most of the blossoms on our crab apple tree are gone. But as Gia would say, "Thats okay. No problem." I guess now we look forward to the lilacs and the irises and peony after that.
We did have a great big thunderstorm. I almost felt like we were back in Kansas. I love them. Gia and I sat on the grass watching the clouds move in while we were waiting for Jared to come home. Then it started to rain Gia was very intent on watching the rain, lightening, and hearing the thunder. She looked out of every window hoping to see something new. She would say with big eyes "mommy did you see that? The lighting is cracking the sky!". Oh the wonder of a child. If we could all recapture that.
